Eternal LightA Poem by MachinaWriterA poem about that little yellow ball in the corner of my computer...The flickering orange glow of a candle, casts a light upon cold stone, in this lonely home; as if trying to show what’s written in this tome is surcease of any shadow. Because in it, the words are written of you, whose light glows stronger than this stick of wax, which will not burn much longer, as it melts, because it lacks the warmth I have felt in your inspiration. With perspiration dripping down my coarse skin, to my soul and the thoughts within thinking blessings from the heat of your coal, fueling the fire that inspires my mind and my heart. Boiling my blood to be made into ink, scratched into parchment with words that sink and seep, to and from some inner compartment of my soul, buried deep. The flickering orange glow of a candle in the corner of my home, casts a light that inspires fires within my soul, and desire in my bones. It rids my life of the shadows I had when I
was alone… © 2012 MachinaWriterAuthor's Note
