I call her, Jillie

I call her, Jillie

A Poem by Avi Lynn
"

I'm hiding behind a husk doll these days

"
A girl with no face
A woman, no name
Unsure how this happens
Endlessly pained
She seems a reflection
Very blurry and dire
Wishing tonight
To burn down in this fire
They started together
Where no one would care
That she'd be alone
And he'd not be there
Since eyes have glossed over
Her mouth may be silent
Not sure what to do
Still filled with desire
Not for him, but you
Wanting and wanting
Still more of the same
Because she so loved the sound of his name
Even if he too, goes down with the flames

-to the girl, burning from the inside out
