This is Me

This is Me

A Poem by Amanda Naomi

I am.

Love, justice, purpose.

When you first see the sun after the rain.

Happiness, safety, encouragement are important to me.

A smile that shows too much teeth, but it can’t be contained.

I’m controlling and obsessive,

But its so that I can make everything fair.

I like rain on the dry pavement.

I like it when you’re happy.

I like it when you think of me.

This is me.

That's a frank, simple description. It's nice and clear--that's what makes it good.

Nice and simple, yet with a more complex message that it appears at first. I enjoyed reading this - thanks for sharing!

This is really simple and short, but it's also really sweet. It almost seems elementary-ily written, but the imagery is very vibrant.

Keep writing, open up more and express deeper emotion and you will move mountains. :D
