Adults never grow

Adults never grow

A Poem by Mark D

The cut burn chase arrives
And leather fabric hurts
Reddening now raw
With you upon the floor

A subtle wipe to hide
The islands in your eye
It starts within your chest
As children never blessed

You're bending like before
And stretching for the door
But adults never grow
With no new height to show

Hmmm.. a poem that i feel has more to it than meets the eye, it seems to draw to my attention the almost backward movement that those older than us engage in , and that perhaps we do indeed become more open to the world in age.
A very interesting read.

Fascinating piece...I am left wandering/wondering :)
Intensity profound and so many things to decipher!

I like this very much Mark, it feels like a poetic experiment, and I find that the best literature.

i'd take out "with" in th elast line so it flows better. Very choppy, quick piece. Good concept/idea, reminds me of a quote "the creatve adult is the child who survived"
