Sleeping beauty

Sleeping beauty

A Poem by Carla

No words can describe the depth of my indifference.
Tossing and turning every night trying to run from this bad dream,
but there's no distance.
I hate to sleep alone.
It's his comfort that I be missing.
Who will I wake up to once he's gone.
It's his touches that give me this feeling.
I feel that he understands me best when I'm sleep,
because while i'm running, hiding, and falling.
His chest and his arms embrace me.
Making love when the sun rise and set a title of morning.
No more fears only love appears,
and it's all over me.
I start to forget those bad dreams.
But when he's not here.
Who will replace my fears.
I will never wake up and the sun I will miss.
Who could ever replace his true love kiss.

A very sad romantic piece that seems to suggest the protagonist is dependent upon this person's love and affection, perhaps too much so. Filled with pathos it reads well and the opening line is a good hook.
