helpless romantic

helpless romantic

A Poem by Crimson Rose
"

broken fantasies of a helpless romantic.

"

I watch all these enchanting love stories

A hopeless romantic at its best

So I try it out where the love is real

Only to find that love’s a pest

To many things you got to do right

Only to find out that you were wrong

My heart and mind all intertwined

Into one big gooey mess

And now I watch these stories

Of empty hopes and glory

Feeling an empty throb within my breast

But what am I to do

When I know this love aint true

Except cry for something that isn’t real

A helpless romantic without a clue

Ah, I think we can all be this way sometimes. I'm sure everyone has had a moment like this. XD I seem to find myself jealous of the main character in love stories sometimes, even though romantic stuff isn't really on the top of my list. It just seems like an interesting thing. Love is confusing. I don't always understand why things work out the way they do, but I suppose it's for the best (or just how it was meant to be, but that phrase is overused).
Good job - I really like this poem. :3
