Assassin's Nectar

Nectar oh so sweet

Almost as sweet as that wine

One little drop of nectar gone bad can poison the whole hive.

And when those bees start to flee,

They know there is no one left alive

So do not doubt this nectar

Known for its bittersweet taste.

This is the Assassin’s nectar

And no drop goes to waste.

I love this lighthearted spooky tale in verse. I love how it's written in a conversational voice that offers up gory imagery like it's nothing more yukky than a platter of cream puffs -- no big deal!
