Bin Jargon

Bin Jargon

A Poem by Mockingbird

the radio blared static
sending skewed signals
to common circuits
diluting perceptions
as the waves took them
deeper into aphasic waters.

they spoke in bin jargon
cognition failure
was evident.
they couldn't hear
through the static
and their own mad ramblings.

they decided to wage war
against the enemy
though the battle
had already been decided.

they had no allies
they did away with us all.
we spoke a foreign frequency
so they left us behind.

armed with a broken radio
they went off on their crusade
to slay the encroaching demons
and return with the spoils.

that's the last anyone
has seen of them
except for the distant sound
of static
ramblings.

A deep and thought provoking write... It is a lost battle indeed for those who drown in their own ramblings, losing the chance to listen and learn..I was guilty of this at a less "mature" state of mind, but I hope these days are long gone, or at least I try.
The metaphor is brilliant..The tile is perfect.

There is just something really cool about the style of this piece and the words you have chosen to use. At once it is both intricate and blunt. Well done.

Radio killed the crusade star. Theres always much more to your stuff than meets the eye. if I read it again I got more and more. I get the massess stuck fast to the frequency of thier delusions. And now the radio has decided that the war is over. But did it ever really begin? Great musings.

...
. a tale narrated very poetically ... sometimes, i fear that all that might remain of me is "the distant sound of static and ramblings" ... maybe we should be careful about the battles we decide to fight ...
