From The Inside

From The Inside

A Poem by Bryan Micheni

So recognize my ambivalence
As my one redeeming grace;
The one thing that's left as certain
In my fragile diamond heart.
Let me sit on stool forgotten
In this maelstrom of a bar
Drown the joys out with the sorrows
Forget what's from the inside...
But, maybe this half drunk perception
Shows me truth in clearest sight...
I'm a fool to let her inside
I'm a fool to let her go.

"I'm a fool to let her inside
I'm a fool to let her go."
We can win and lose with any decision. I like the thoughts and the strong ending to the excellent poem.

Beautiful flowing write depicting ambivalence perfectly.

Your ambivalence - your one saving grace is what makes you 'a fool to let her inside, a fool to let her go...'
Great piece, I like

'In this maelstrom of a bar
Drown the joys out with the sorrows'...

As usual, your writing is elegant and exquisite. Good work!

Nice but, how sad I ove the ending the most I must say because thats when I really start to understand what is happening either way not bad; great write and always remember be careful who you let enter or you'll find your self begging to be rid of them but, needing to be with them.
