Back down or stand my ground

Back down or stand my ground

A Poem by Midnight_Mask
"

Why do we reduce ourselves out of self doubt. We need to stand up and break out of our shells

"
Darken corner that you consider your home
Broken all the light bolts, when will you learn?
You can't be no more or no less then who you are
Shape up, let go of your heart

Who's the one now on the floor
Refusing to get up or even crawl
When will you just stop and turn around
So you've made a mistake, don't resort to the ground

I see you've start to dig a hole
about three feet wide, five in length
Is it going down deeper?
Are you making it six feet?

When did you crack?
Or have I just seen,
That the person I thought was you
Isn't really real.

You got one of those faces that I'll never forget
Problems built up into a shell
I've taught you to fight and I protected your life
Just to find that I'm the lie

I can see through what you do
It's obvious, most people see it too
I now understand I got too close
So now I have to either, make a stand or back down...
