Mid-sunset Dream

Mid-sunset Dream

A Poem by Midnight_Mask

Gentle breeze caress my skin,
Refreshing in the setting sun,
Sky painted a glorious pale blue,
Clouds reflect bright oranges and shades of gold.
Accomplishing calmness I breath in,
Let it out and begin to believe I'm dreaming,
Stripped to skin allowing to be stole over,
So at peace I feel the rhythm of my heart.
Sounds are so distant,
they are hardly there,
Music drifts in,
Settling the still air.
Thoughts drift on sad memories,
On the urge of crying I smother the tears,
I erase the thoughts and replace it,
Directing my mind to another topic.
Now picturing a normal looking guy,
Dreamy wide brown eyes,
Alluring caramel short hair,
Boyish lips, surrounded by graceful features.
Time faded away as I went on adventures,
Just me and this stranger,
We rode bare back on horses,
across valleys and canyons.
When my eyes fluttered open again,
The sky appeared wounded,
With ghastly clouds and fading sun,
The air still warm and the breeze cool.
I get up,
Dust myself off,
Stretched a huge jumper over me,
And walked off into the disappearing light.
