Locked in Time

Locked in Time

A Poem by Midnight_Mask
"

About achievements, regrets and 'what if's'.

"
Every word,
Every thought,
Every second,
      Since you were born.

Every breath,
Every laugh,
Every tear,
      Wasted on the past.

To the highest point on a mountain,
Lays an ambition to be conquered,
And yet you are marching,
Across the snow on the peak.

What could of been better,
Could of been worst,
And your fighting your best into every burst,
Your here,
And the world lays at your feet.

Distant eyes don't realise,
That your soul has left you behind,
You've lose the key to your reality,
Locked in time.

In the distant of a lifetime,
Lays the life that you created,
And yet you just learnt that,
It was all by chance.

It could of been better,
Could of been worst,
When one door closes,
Two more open,
Your here,
And the world lays at your feet.

Distant eyes don't realise,
That your soul has left you behind,
You've lose the key to your reality,
Locked in time.
