Affection.

Affection.

A Poem by Midnight_Mask
"

When a guy likes a girl, but she already has someone and even though these two people cant be together, their such good friends, its as if their made for each other.

"

Words etched into paper and pen in hand,

No matter how many times it’s explained,

I still don’t understand.

She’s made it clear that she’ll stand by him.

No amount of divine affection can deter her from his side.

His lucky to have her and that’s very clear,

The way she talks about him,

Even when his not near.

My heart aches to have her touch,

But yet I know it’s way too much.

If he saw what me and her does together,

Hug all day and laugh at one another.

Then I suppose he’ll dump her straight,

We don’t do anything wrong,

But the affection behind the motive is still there.

They love each other though,

And at the end of the day,

I can’t take that away.

So as I turn a blind eye,

Pretend not to see,

But instead deep inside,

I’m crawling with jealousy and guilt.

Just why, why can’t she be with me?
