World Within Your Head.

World Within Your Head.

A Poem by Midnight_Mask

Cold chills still echoing throughout the room,

Old furniture occupying the dark corners,

Cracked windows and grimy walls,

No bright colours at all.

This is how life fades to grey,

Excitement slowly melts away,

As the texture disappears,

Nightmares’ begin to fill the air.

Count to ten and open your eyes,

There was no time to say goodbye,

All comforting faces are now gone,

Left you in an empty world.

What do you do now?

When everything has already came crashing down?

Falling flat,

Blacking out,

No-way around,

You’re failing fast,

That’s that and the past is the past.

 So fading into the background,

Everyone has gone and left you alone,

This life you live in is a world within your head,

Don’t watch out for things, you might end up dead.
