My Great Escape

I've never been able to say how I feel

Always out spoke

And always out wrote

Never had things easy, but no-one does

Especially my experiences in love

 

So I use this Oppertunaty to write something pure

To finally be able to unlock these doors

Being hidden away

I need to escape

So I'm breaking out and speaking up

 

Through times of harsh

I advioded eating

Indulged in sleeping

Finally had enough of the pain

I decided to become sane

 

So I made a promise

Put a lock on my heart

Built up walls to last

To banish my dark past

Because I've finally had enough

 

Ever since I met you though

I've wanted to be more

Out shine anyone you could adore

Hold you close and stare into your eyes forever on

This is how I feel for you so

 

No matter what I wanted, you had someone

You picked her, even though you claimed I was the one

Moments so close, our lips could touch

But we'll pause and look away as we could not

 

One day, you took a leap of faith and ran to me

Chose to be happy

Now I lie awake, thinking about us

The way we conquered the past

And embraised love for a year and a half
