A song

A song

A Poem by Ana B.

 There was a soul

Splintered in two hearts

And so to be whole

This is where the journey starts.

On a warm day of spring

Under the caress of the sun

A heart began to sing

It seemed to no one…

Doesn’t that heart know

Whom does it sing to?

With a silent glow…

Running out of truth?

Because every time

The wind carried the song

To the only one

Who could sing along…

Untouched by the time

The hearts had their way

Deciding the rhyme

And which law to obey…

At the end of the time…or the day

From distant points in universe

Even if they were going astray

The hearts were singing the same verse…

Dreaming in colors

Each night they went to sleep

With stars as their covers

About the day they’ll finally meet.

You're welcome Ana. But it kind of remind me of my own writing called Soul Suicide
Great work Ana. I love the idea that two people who are destined to be together will somehow end up together; although i'm not sure if it is universally applicable to everyone.

Because every time
The wind carried the song
To the only one
Who could sing along…

I loved this line, i could vividly visualize it. Great Work.

thank you :)
This reminded me of the birds at Spring - in their eagerness (or their PonFarr lol) to find a mate they are singing their little hearts out from the first inkling of dawn. It can become so loud as they try to outdo one another but they dont even know who they are singing for. Just that 'the one' for them is 'out there'. So sing the must and sing they do, like this heart you have written of here.
Its a gorgeous song Ana.
