Inevitability

Inevitability

A Poem by Ana B.

Dear Hope, before you go to sleep

Sing me a lullaby

About those whimsical trivialities that I keep

So dangerously misapplied…

About the world’s winds of glory,

That are blowing in the wrong direction,

About the shadows’ untold story

Quietly longing for a whisper of affection…

And do sing about that mythical Peace

Its idea ravaging through my mind,

The Heaven’s eternal masterpiece

That I wouldn’t hope to find…not in this lifetime…

Yet, the song of searching has its beauty

Diffusing, in this omnipresent duality…

The dance of pleasure and duty

Designing the quality of said morality…

This is brilliant. The first two lines blew my socks off, becuz it's such a refreshing way to boldly walk right into a poem. Your ideas & your expression come together in some powerful writing here (((HUGS)))

Thank you so much! Hugs))))))))))))))
In spite of your language, phrases laid so profoundly, elegantly,, there are shadows that defy the kindness to the language but not so seems, to its intention, meaning. ' Said morality ' arrives at its finish.. but by then i felt 'sad'. Will come back and read afresh so as to understand . I owe you that, Ana.
