Storm Clouds Coming

Storm Clouds Coming

A Poem by modtoddinc
"

My thoughts go out to all who have been through or are going through weather situations.

"
Rise in brightness
over sand and stone,
crashes roll; unto
wooden homes.

Rain is pounding
nail to coffin,
blowing ashes; a
windmill dropping.

Quiet birds
green grey skies,
people running; falling
blue & red eyes.

Twisted turns,
a world is floating,
racing waves; burn
to rust and sowing.

The clock tower chimes
through empty streets,
voices fall; from trees
to sheets.

Ghosts to render
the voice of Zues,
iron and fire; quench a
climate of truth.

It is good use of words and contrast in every single stanza! The ideas link so well together and while reading they lift off the page.
Its an awesome composition. Loved it.

I enjoyed the write my friend... "rain is pounding nail to coffin." I love that line and although in Cali we still haven't seen much rain I look at the news and see South Carolina had more rain than they have in 1000 years. Your words fit perfect with all the rain storms out there... nice work.
