Mystery

this is about the effect of a mystery on a person. the idea's lame but i think it is well expressed, i just THINK so; its up to you anyway

the sacred heart of a mystery

unknown to the individual

makes its way to the mind

as shuddering suspicions form

nagging at the unconscious

like waves of curious emotions

forcing an out-loud burst

neither provoked nor cursed

solely encompassing the mystery

the question pops out

like the spill of a liquid drink

that embarrasses the spiller

the answerer not the questioner

abashed by the effect

claims it a profound secret

coming to the affected,

a wave of dull shadows

crosses the countenance

like a disappointed creature

the latter turns back

with a brush of an apology

the hidden mystery results

in a duel in the mind

coaxing no sleep

at sleepless nights

thinking to find out

what the blank wonder was

the secret prevails

and has its effects

I don't think any subject for a poem is lame in itself. This is imaginative and truly makes the reader wonder what the mystery might be.
