Wish

A Poem by Mrudula Rani
"

Haiku

I can wish for stars,
Moon, everything in between.
But the Taj never!

Don't you worry your pretty little head m'dear, I've started work on my very own shrine to you. Not quite on the scale of the Taj I'll be the first to admit, in fact I'm actually converting an old telephone box......at least when I join you we'll be nice and snug :)))
Hi Mrudula, hope you are well.

You too, we go in hope with little expectation
I must agree.
I thought of writing this in haiku form,
but I am a bit more chaotic.

Plus, I said "I" too many times.

I have the tendency to add "I" a lot too, and some times forget to hit the post comments as well .
Brought a smile.
I have a feeling you'd be much happier with the moon or a star.
Enjoyed the read!

Thank you dear JY.
I think Taj is just overrated...... as per my thought process...for her after death whatever he built doesn't make any sense...if he had treated her with love we are not even sure of that...and the cruelty of cutting peoples hand after creation of something..horrifying isn't it... . I don't think he was capable of love lol... :p

I always visit hyd...I studied there.. :)
Although the Tajmahal is incredibly beautiful, I believe that it still can't top what the heavens hold for us. The galaxies with all their splendour can't be beaten. Not only that, they are there for everyone. Lovely little Haiku.

Thank you my friend. Uma Abraço.
There was never a lover so generous.. never a man who had the 'wherewithal' to have built such an exquisite maRble mausoleum for his darling wife. To see it near dawn finds it pon a rising haze.. magical.. And so is your brief but special tribute. (Had to reword my review, was horribly flowery..)

Taj Majal is an awesome blues musician I loved for years. But I read your poem to signify the act of building a world-famous structure of magnificence to honor one’s beloved thru the ages. If only someone built us such a monument! *sigh!* Love the way your mind plays with ideas (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Not familiar with "the Taz" so I'm at a bit of a loss as what to make of it. But certainly we all have wishes and hopes unspoken. Bless.
