Contemplating

Contemplating

A Poem by Serendipity
"

A tear escapes me ... Wishing for our tomorrow

"

I am sitting here
Thinking of yesterday
Wondering about tomorrow

The days go by
Sometimes slowly
Sometimes too quickly

Thoughts of you
Cross my mind
Linger in my heart

How one decision
Changes us completely
Changes our lives totally

Yesterday never was
Today will never be
Tomorrow is always unknown

Another day will pass us by
Then a week and a month
Before long a year has gone

I am looking forward
To the tomorrow
You described

Who knows how long
Before that tomorrow comes
Maybe a year or a decade or two

Until then may happiness
Find you at every step
May content find me

A tear escapes me
As I sit here contemplating
Wishing for our tomorrow

This is so well penned. The pain and the longing is evident but then sadly, this contemplation leads to nowhere.
Sometimes, we are made to realize that we are puppets in the hands of fate. There is very little that we have control over. And one does understand that we ought to make the best use of it but so much time is spent on wishing for pretty things that elude us that we do not even know we have wasted the present.

Contemplation is necessary to learn about past failures and to plan for the next day but some of us overdo it. I certainly do.

Yes, I could relate to this poem.

Your best poem with heartache on its mind. I really enjoyed this. Wistful and unfulfilled.

Good work.

Sometimes we think to much. When we realize that we choose what we think about from the moment we wake In our dreams we see the thoughts that will not let us be. Awken to see no moment to live in. Ther are no brakes given to our destiny.
