Waiting Impatiently

Waiting Impatiently

A Poem by Serendipity
"

For a word ... Comment ... Something ... Anything

"

I’m sitting here

Waiting for a word

Waiting for a comment

Waiting for something

Anything that tells me

You still care

Waiting for your reply

Is beyond torture

If you only knew

How much your friendship

How much your love

Means to me

Instead there’s silence

The quiet is overwhelming

My heart is aching

My body is shaking

My throat’s in a knot

My eyes are watery

As I look for you

I wonder of your thoughts

I wonder how you feel

I wonder if you’ll say

Something, anything

I hate waiting

Please find me

Sitting here

Waiting impatiently

To tell me simply

That you still care

That you still love me

Oh my... reading this breaks my heart as I reflect on those feelings I've has before, in search of answers only the one person can give you and yet they are nothing but a shadow at midnight haunting your every dream...
Beautifully written for all it's saddness.

I have never felt that was more true than at this very moment. It astounds me how much emotion can be found in this passage, not that you could articulate it, but that I could not as well as you quite obviously can. An angel hath found her wings and is waiting for her devil to come. He shall find not a demure and retiring damsel, but a strong and resourceful matriarch who will be a partner and a friend as well as a lover and confidante...very, very well done. I can feel the angst and the agony in the lines and a tear is falling down my cheek at this very moment. That is a rare thing, I do not cry very often, so when I do, I take notice...Bravo!!!

Wow!!! This really hits the mark. I think at sometime in all our lives we can relate to this - we've all, at one point, played the waiting game. Well written, truly from the heart.

This is very emotional .. full of longing and wishing .. the poem is structured nicely..
The subject is a sad one and for so many very easily related to .

Nice write. I wonder how you get in those fancy fonts? But from my experience, waiting is not a good idea. Come out and say all those things you would wish the other person to say to you and if they don't return them you'll know for sure. Thats what big girls do.

This is heartwrenching.
Silence kills, especially when a loved one is at the other end.
But the heart makes us do the strangest of things - like staring at a blank wall all life long for a word or a single sign that our head knows may never come.

Well written. I like the font too. But I wish you didn't have reason to write it.

I know this - Apparently you let go and yet you are waiting and how it hurts when you know its in vain - what a coincidence we wait impatiently and yet pray for patience and wait for the pain of the waiting to go

The wait is what drives us crazy... you have captured that very well. Wether it be waiting for love, or a long lost friend, or waiting in lines at the DMV, or walmart!
Great Write! :)

Oh, spot on!! I've so been there--waiting for the validation of someone's love to say I'm important, and feeling lost when it doesn't come.

Very nicely done--emotionally evocative and true to this particularly emotional state of being. ;-)
