Someday she'll fly

Someday she'll fly

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

The fervor of

his kisses

once paralleled

the embers of a flame,

an ineffable passion.

Now they bear

a semblance to
the pecks of a bird,

barely feeding

to survive

someday

she’ll fly.

...you've made my day, thank you, Nancy!
I love the way you have mixed the ecstasy and agony of a passionate romance but in the end, she is still able to soar albeit, my guess it, on tender wings. Simply wonderful, Kelly.

You are most kind...thank you!
dear Kelly... a passionate kiss is like icing on a warm summers day when the cake is still warm from the oven. Cake and passion may cool, but the taste remains year after year.... even with a tear. truly, Pat

Always starts with a bang. Then contentment. Time to fly, the eagle awaits.

...thank you, Paul!
yes how the fundamentals of love get lost in the rush over time in building that nest egg, providing for the family, its all a rush, rush rush and the romance that once was becomes a peck for one forgets how much time does pass in frantic lifestyles that are pressured by the uncertainty that one may no longer be working. hopefully like all embers a little coaxing and the flames ignite once more1. lovely stuff kelly.

When love become less and forgotten. Open road can look tempting.

WOW...when the passion is gone and they are only together out of convenience....pecks as kisses. Your words say so much, my friend. Powerful scenario. Lydi**
