Bathe Me in Moonlight

Bathe Me in Moonlight

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

bathe me in moonlight

i need a man
when the world is cold,
to stand beside me
when the years are no longer

my friend

an amorous man

a guise of grey of a man,
to stroke my hair

my shoulders, bare

to bathe me in moonlight
with kisses that trace
the nape of

my neck,

the curvature of

my spine

to love me forever…
to leave me never…

Desire can be like a river that continuously flows in one path. To traverse it can take what seems like forever. You reflect what a lot of women are thinking I'll bet.

Goodness, Kelly Dear,
I wondered what moonlight and love would look like blended together in a master poetess' ink … now, I know, and how enthralling it is to the senses.
I think if I were to close my eyes and dream of a Free Verse poem that expresses my heart and soul perfectly, I envision it to be exactly like this.
The picture … mm*

So tender and sweet, so marvelously rendered, Kelly, I think my heart just melted ✨⁓ Richard

There you go making me blush again! How sweet! Thank you my friend! x
It's definitely a love poem, but also a poem about the most intimate friendship. A type of friendship love can only hope to become one day.

I wrote this in a matter of minutes, wanting it to be something that would speak for both genders. .. read more

In minutes? Whew, that means it is truly sincere. Well done.
Such a heartfelt write... i love your writing Kelly and I have read your work here and on the other site and sometime I feel like you bring my writing to the surface so thank you for that... Now if you find this love please, please hang onto it (I wish I had)... The Becky from my work is still my friend and my muse and I believe she is ok with that... I know it still makes her smile, and blush, and cry... So again love like there is no tomorrow..

This is beautifully balancing on the edge of quietly desperate longing & sweetly compelling seduction. One of the most down-to-earth sexy poems I've ever read, which is a quality I always long for. Nicely on the cusp of being lyrical & straightforward! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Many hugs and thanks to you, Margie - my fellow moon maiden!
um, Wow. deep couldn't even begin to express the depth of this. a provocatively powerful penning interwoven and laced with libido. transcending and standing the test of time. doesn't get much better than this.
