You're welcome. I know very little about bars and nothing at all about women. I know my mother was one and I'm married to one. That's the extent of my expertise in that arena. :)

Can't help thinking Kelly this picture of allure and sophistication could soon be taking a tumble. How many more drinks till the lipstick smudges, the stilettos become weapons of mass destruction and the hair an unkempt bird's nest. Love the wicked anticipation of what's about to happen. Great brevity that tells a story.

Wow! You've really set the "bar" once again, Kelly. Brevity it be, but the imagination is piqued as to the outcome of their balancing act, as your poem now reveals there are two women, beautiful twins they be. Which raises the question, the inebriated men at the bar, are they seeing double?

Well, you did use the plural in your amazing poem, so I immediately saw two women. Perhaps now I can see them sitting at their small table across from each other and wondering, "Why are we here?" Lost in their mutual, lonely reverie . . . memories being a harsh mistress.

In the bars I used to go to they were tryng to balance themselves on the way out the door. haha. I was never high class. In some ways that's a good thing. :)
