A VIKING AND A LADY 1 & 2

A VIKING AND A LADY 1 & 2

A Poem by Rhonda Marie Hayman
"

A TALE OF LOVE IN TIMES OF SWORDS AND BIG COURAGEOUS MEN.. AND THE LADIES THAT LOVE THEM!

"

PART 1

Looking out her castle window to the
grassy hills beyond the keep,
she sees a flicker of an image.
The Lady figures it a trick of the wind
and turns her eyes to the crash of
waves at the gorge below.
Sighing, The Ladies heart longing for
adventure, some spark to her life,
of a sudden feels a pulling inside her.
Urging her to look beyond the strong gate
below and on to the field.
And low, there he sits atop his
big black stallion.
The horse as restless as she is, with
his dancing prance.
The man with long golden hair blowing
in the wind and his looks like a viking god.
He looks up and meets her eyes and
holds her in a trance.
There in The Ladies eyes shined the
long awaited spark and she knew he
would be the one.
The Viking and The Lady would have
the dream, adventure, love and life

PART 2

It's early morning
The suns bright rays
shining through the fog
that settles on the
meadows lush green grass

The Lady, Eden sits proudly
atop her magnificent white mare
as she rides out the gate
to the keep
A smile on her face
A sparlkle in her eyes
And mischief alight in both

Lady Edens long blond hair
flying out behind her
As she urges her mare onward
Her destination a fresh flowing
stream with beautiful wild flowers
and tall old green oak trees
with dripping branches
surrounding all protectively within

Laying amist the wild flowers
Lady Eden watches the birds
soar in the blueing sky as
the fog lifts
Hearing the streams flowing song
she day dreams of her Viking Warrior

She conjures up his massive image
And longs for him to be near
so that she can run her hands over
his muscled flesh
She sucks in her breath
her need so great that her
heart beats wildly
Her body tingles
Her stomach all aflutter
Such intense feelings and longings
a strangeness to her and so new
She can feel his strong lips as
they burn a path down her neck
Making her limbs feel like liquid fire

She's brought up from the haze
hearing a new sound near her
Lady Eden finds herself looking
into her Viking Warriors illuminated
dark blue eyes burning a whole
into her with severe need and longing

Lady Eden embraces her Viking lover
A fierce intent in them both
to cherish the love they share
to cherish this new life
A Viking and A Lady
laying together peacefully
in the meadow watching
the new day give way
