Morning's Broken Tea

Morning's Broken Tea

A Poem by Nance

This world

disruptive, loud

Harmony no longer safe

or sound

tolerance, rationale unacceptable

people with differences, non-negotiable

behavior unforgivable

thinking wires crossed

love is unbelievable

self identification lost

time has run out of steam

solitude, a hollow echo

in a life, lived and forgotten

and the pale color of each day

is a reminder

it’s hard

to go on this way
