A Chapter by Octavious
"

A psychological thriller, of the faults of the greatest minds. A horror of the truth, a lullaby of the lies that have been feed to those who live in oblivious.

"

Manipulation: The power to show the world what they want before they know that they want it. To show the shape of what one wishes to become before they see their true form through a mirror. Manipulation is a study of the mind, shape, and form. Manipulation is timing, it’s knowing when something or someone has come of the mature age to handle the reality that is brought to them from the bliss of manipulation. Manipulation is what the world both denies, and depends on.

Denial and dependence, unfortunately cannot function without one

another. Like all forms of

reality there’s always the tiniest of kinks in the chain of their overall function. Why life can’t be lived without chaos, is a question asked only be the idiotic geniuses, whom unfortunately the majority of every world depends on.  The answer is simply spoken, but is difficultly understood. Life cannot live without chaos, and chaos cannot live without life, because life in itself is chaos, and chaos is all life.

Simplicity is the one thing that all living should fear, yet instead they beg to have it. This is the common challenge embedded in the average mind to the point that it is deemed normal; despite there not being a concrete definition of the term. To cure such a thing souly depends on time. Time is everything, and everything has a sense of time, whether it be against or in your favor.

Time allows one to mature, and with maturity comes the truth, and the truth is given through manipulation. Yet Time can be deceiving, and moments can be fatal, especially when the average clueless mind deceives the roll of time, and unlike the majority of times, instead of manipulation finding the developed mind, the developed mind will find the manipulation. These are called the Astute, the answer to your question can be answered only in one word, original. I warn you not to think in your right mind, because your right sense are wrong within the atmosphere of manipulation.  Astutes, aren’t ones to be happy about. Manipulation is the tool used to fix what is broken, but you cannot fix what isn’t in pieces. This is what an Astute does, they lie first to themselves, bending the rules that can’t afford to be broken, and manipulate the manipulation to fix the kink in the chain, and separate denial, and dependence.

The first rule of manipulation: Don’t manipulate the manipulative.

well ... aside from being manipulated, separated from my denial and dependence .. i am pretty sure i have come out of reading your "00" chapter with no attributes of Astutes ;}
kidding aside ... having read your note about this being a psych/thriller .. i take it that this beginning is the intro into the abyss of chaos ... i am wanting to know more about the Astutes and tis world of yours so well done .. i appreciate the brevity of your chapter .. it is so hard to commit to reading books around here because of time constraints .. just some minor editing needed; but one can never be done with that ... not sure i agree with your use of enjambement fits ... makes me wonder if you have decided this is a poem or a story ... but ..that's just me .. i will be looking for the next chapter sir! i think your beginning has hooked me ..

I like this very much - I left school when I was 16 so this is kind of wayyy over my head since my only schooling since then has been in I.T., but I see the narrative as being very much in the vein of fight club - hey maybe its 'write club' lol.
First rule of write club - dont kid a kidder
