... For those that dont already know .. Blighty was and to some extent, still is a fond term of endearment for home, or more specifically England/Great Britain & used by both members of the armed forces and civilians alike .......... cheers

dearest Neville... I have personally nursed two
Veterans (one at a time) in my adult life... to
some semblance of a peaceful life. Post traumatic syndrome
(PTSD) is a reality. We (my family and myself) always thank Veterans

A heart stopper literally. Mine skipped a beat. Do you know that I can't pass the veterans postings on my Facebook account without stopping to pay my personal respects. I can't help myself. When I see the faces of those men killed in action, it rips me apart. The ultimate sacrifice, dying for your country and sadly their loved ones pay the price too. So many from conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Falklands :(

Thank You for remembering our losses in all conflicts.

I have a thing about the Great War .. but am acutely aware all conflicts have casualties .. and yes, one must never forget those who have paid the ultimate price in very recent times too .. or those who have suffered life changing injuries as a consequence
