Maybe it is time now

we sail

our separate ways ..

With you

upon the wind my love

beneath the waves ..

With me upon the down

fabled lark

Sometimes relationships can end with each party feeling rewarded by the time spent together. Other times it's like Napoleon's retreat from Russia. I don't get either of those feelings here, though. I do get the feeling of sadness in the speaker's words. Perhaps he is older than the other and believes his chances at romance are dwindling. Despite age and pain, though, there remains something to be learned from every setback.

Beautiful in both its meaning and imagery. Goodbyes aren't easy. The highs and lows of loving from the flight of the lark to the ocean's depths and everything in between. Wonderful expression here Neville.

This is so wonderful Neville! wow! You know what I am saying wow! because behind these words I see the true wisdom! You know You are speaking of goodbye but to me it is speaking of " we are entangled and we will meet again", the greatest love... the love of letting go and setting someone free, and here I see this... You gave her the freedom she needed. knowing in time.... at the right time... she will back to You. love this little song of true love my dear~
