The Most Perfect Love

how he loved the way she

always tried

to manipulate the swell ..

and of course

the way she rode the ever

undulating tide ..

and how she wore him like

a bespoke glove ..

then used him, as a template

to always

make the most perfect love ..

I think I knew her, someone else, but someone the same, a perfect fit that felt so comfortable you never wanted to take her off again and then...I see by you reply to Chris..."she was" and I say again, I think I knew her because. well, just because. Very nicely said. A poem that reaches out and touches the reader.

I liked that idea of the perfect love has a template. Unique to each couple cut by their coupling. Like a silhouette of their merging. Then of course using the template can be a bit of a mess. Each stamping a little different. Perfect imperfection. Love this love poem!

dear Neville… perfect love is Geometry with a template… precision is a Goal … a lovely poem that rests in nests of symmetries. gently, Pat

it seems you can read me like a book sir .. cheers N:)
If you have a love who will manipulate the swell and ride the tides by your side in all weathers, especially the stormy types, then you have struck gold. Sadly in these modern times, that sort of devotion is a rarity. Beautiful sentiment in this love poem Neville. She sounds purrfect .
