A Poem by jacob erin-cilberto

circle

i am the restless conduit

purveyor of poems

that come from sky thoughts

and wrap around me like

the rings of Saturn

in a bleak galaxy

trying to find its way

to a moonglow

comfort

light on the side

facing me

facing my keys

moving my fingers

before day

breaks the pattern.

I like this so much. Lines spine tingling. Face me face truth. Round we go with this game of tag.

A sudden bout of inspiration does feel like being hit with sky thoughts and conducting them to this earthly realm. God, I love how you put it so clearly and so poetically. It sounds perfect. Always a pleasure to read your work!

I dream poetry and I keep a notebook near for note. Writing haunts my dreams. I understand the poetry Jacob. Sometimes. Hard to rest our minds. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Us, who love to write. Words dance in our heads and you are welcome Jacob.
These words mean so much to me by way of a poet trying to channelize his thoughts to the keyboard, on a lone, moonlit night. With the galaxies going bleak, he has just the soft light of the moon to go with.
The day breaks the pattern....I loved that.

You are definitely one of the stars of this site, so this makes complete sense to me. Morning, noon or night. You poetry is always out of this world.

It sounds like one of those late night writing sessions inspired by a restless muse. The coffee starts pouring itself and the lights stay on all night. Been there more than a few times. I enjoyed the read.

Thank you for your words, Fabian.
Dear J. I am fascinated by those Saturn rings wrapped round you. They turned into a hoola hoop and I saw you getting some physical therapy with them. So they are good for your health and your poetry too :) I love sky thoughts by the way. That’s where my inspiration often comes from.

we should start a "sky thoughts" club, Chris.
dear Jacob… you are a Sky watcher… who sees the Light and becomes Immortal… touched by Venus. softly, Pat
