Serenity - A Poem

Serenity - A Poem

A Chapter by N. C. Matthews
"

One of very few pieces that I have written since my teenage years.

"

My precious serenity, sweet darkness calls.

Down I tumble, down I fall.

Into blessed oblivion I go;

Falling down, down below.

No more sadness, no more tears;

Gone forever are my fears.

Upon divine wings I do now fly,

My soul now light as the butterfly.

There are no worries, no more cares;

Only the sweet serenity that we share.

Freedom now of mind and soul,

Precious emptiness my eternal goal.

Gone for now, my sense of shame;

Shrouded in mystery is my name.

Locked in happiness, my ultimate sin;

That sweet serenity that comes from within.
