Never Forget...

Never Forget...

A Poem by Nicky Sarti
"

Another take on THAT man I met...

"
I was really taken by him.
Not in a romantic or sexual sense.
But the true taste of the real gent in him.
How smart he looked that day, just as smart as he must have been in his RAF uniform.
No matter what he went through, I am sure he would always look smart.
The things he must have done.
The places he must have seen.
He served our Country, for that alone he has my upmost respect.
But now that service has taken his past away from him.
His illness taking away his career and now his memories.
While he writes to remember, many write to forget.
Such an amazing man, with such a fascinating life.
I only wish that he could remember what I shall never forget.
