Under the Moonlight

Under the Moonlight

A Poem by Nima.Hope

Under the moonlight,
With the whispers of
A passing wind,
I can hear you laughing,
Hear you needless from me
Far away from me
What can I do to be loved more?
What can I do to gain your attention,
Gain your absolute respect?

I told the lovers' wind,
To blow a kiss for you,
From a waiting heart,
Yet the wind was lost,
Through a hurricane of mixed emotions,
Confusions and confessions

Under the moonlight,
I walked through the street,
In my mind you were beside me,
Your smile matched your eyes,
And I saw the two of us,
Shining in the dark

Under the moonlight,
I was suddenly awakened,
You weren't there,
You're busy,
No time left
For this wandering man
The moon became blue,
The nightingale of your voice,
Disappeared in the whispers
Of reality, of solitude

Under the moonlight,
I saw you turning the pages
While I caressed the piano
With my Sonnets of admiration
Then your lips became my wine
I couldn't get enough
From being drunk
By the essence of your love

Under the moonlight,
I smelled your hair,
I painted your blushing
With a little help from the stars
And I was drowned,
In the sea of your eyes
When I saw your tears,
Watering the flowers of your face

For the first time in my life,
I could draw the picture of grace
I wish the truth sunlight
Hadn't turned down my faith,
So my dream would come true........

This was very beautiful. You write so tenderly of love. I also like the descriptions you use. They were very creative. I really liked reading your poem. MM

The gentle flow of your words shows not only adoration, love, need, but.. a respect that grows from your wording, line by line by line. Your tone is gentle, many of your phrases giving and sharing Hope rather than monitored expectations,

I believe in your words,Emma.
I really like this, nima. The entire piece is quite moving...but the fifth and sixth stanzas are just amazing...
"watering the flowers of your face" that is a creative image.
