He is that man;

 

The one who puts his hand on the small of your back

And makes you feel simply safe and cared for.

The one who meets your gaze across a room and never speaks a word

But says volumes to you about his love for you

And you know the look, because it’s reflected in your heart as you look at him.

 

The one who will sit in the car with you listening to music and singing

Understanding all the while that no other words are needed right then

And you bask in the sheer comfort of him being there next to you.

 

The one who means it every times he says “I Love You”

And you’ll know by the way he slides his hands around your waist and pulls you in close

Making you feel like nothing in the world can ever hurt you again.

 

The one who can ravage you like a stranger in the night

And then turn around and love you to depths of passion that only he can take you to.

 

Each time feels like a beautiful beginning with infinite possibilities

A whole new world of love and desire

Yes, he is that man;

The one who fans the flames of my fire

 

Now, I wonder…where is that man?
