Nineteen years

Nineteen years

A Poem by Olivia Marie
"

A poem to a women's husband, as she is on her deathbed. But looking at this idea from a different aspect. She is writing as if she is already dead. (Stud M. Note Book) :)

"
I'm writing this for future reassurance
I have loved and been loved
I hear the sirens whisper in my ear
and with a smile I fall without a tear

Waiting for me to open my eyes
I watch you from by your side
My soul has passed, and is far gone
And my memories are calling you home

The sun is still burning bright
But your heart isn’t light
And I sing in your dreams
And you remember my words
Is this the life you dreamt it to be

Walking alone down by the Oceanside
The ocean filled with tears you cried
I’ve never gone to the world beyond
Waiting for you all these years to come

Nineteen years ago I died
You read this poem every night
Our children have all grown and gone

Physically you’re all alone
Mentally it’s time to go home
You look into the sun as it begins to expand
When out of the sun appears my hand

Well, there is some sadness in this but a blissful honesty. And I think that it would be something fitting the last moments, if planned. But all in all, very good.

when the roots of the tree is strong
love will be spread all around
our life will have a taste
which we will give
a new flavor everyday
