The Kid ain't Mine

The Kid ain't Mine

A Poem by Olumegbon
"

some truth can't be hidden...

"
Ever craved for sexual pleasure
Kind of leisure that wasn't usual,
Thoughts of only one person,
Time to practise all my erotic lessons,
Late night,
Made sure it was a safe sex,
Adventurous positions on the desk,
An orgasm that took our breath,
Little did I know she was a flirt,
Already three weeks,
She says she feels sick,
My heart skips a beat,
No spot of the red sign,
Definitely a baby and its mine,
My friend was shocked,
He suspected,
But never talked,
Two zeros was all I got,
She cried in my arms,
Told her to stay calm,
Hypnotised by her love charm,
I sought for funds,
To have the baby gone,
Thought we had a bond,
In her mind, I was dumb,
Weeks pass and the kid is out,
She feels good no doubt,
Back to her promiscuous life,
I see the lies that she can't hide,
I know the truth,
I forgive her because my heart is good
She thinks she's smart,
But I know the kid ain't mine.

a really sad issue. . thanks alot for the review, i appreciate.
Well written poem, that bring up a sad issue that has become more and more frequent. I feel for the guy, who had feelings for her, realizing he was just one of many. Though, I feel sad for the girl too. Most people who run from bed to bed are often quite unhappy with themselves...

Thank you for sharing!

hmm, wise talk. really like the way you put. thanks alot.
This unfortunately happens more then it should, I mean there's talk shows
that focus on this in depth, (very sad and gross) these women go out and
tramp around with half the state, then oops get pregnant, go figure!
Now it's time to play pin the tail on the donkey! Sorry you were
involved in this nonsense, feel terrible for the kid! Thanks for sharing and b-blessed!

Yeah, you made sure that it was "safe sex," then are accused of impregnating her? You were right to question how THAT happened. I was actually duped into the very same thing, before DNA matching was an option. I raised my "son" and was not told by the mom that I was not the father till he was 30 YEARS OLD! Imagine my disgust at her! I am glad for you that you were smarter than I was. I still love "him" as my son, but the fact that he is really not leaves me with an empty feeling, indescribable. Thank you for the read request. A very well-written piece. Nice job! take care...dan
