The Wind Turbines

The Wind Turbines

A Chapter by Omikron

Around
And around
And around and around and around
Dancing with the wind
To the rhythm of it's howling sound

Entangled in a deep hypnosis
I feel every cell, every mitosis
I am a desirous spectator
Bathing in the sun
The view is wonderfully corrosive

Around
And around they go
Staying true to their only purpose
Such devotion that strikes as lightning
Nothing hidden under the surface

As I lay here in the grass
Thin and fragile just like glass
Floating like the dew
On a cold morning in spring
All gravity has turned into gas

I cannot hide my admiration
For this magic built by my nation
The reigning greed
And immense pain us humans bear
Have created this spectacular sensation

As arms streched high and wide
Like milestones full of pride
They serve as the link
Of heaven and earth
These mighty wind turbines

In the grass I lay in awe
As if pressed by a giant paw
I paint a smile
On my face under the sun
Completely ruled by its law

I throw one last good look
In my mind, the view I hook
Then I close my eyes
And slide back to reality
And write all about it in a book
