Cradle me

Cradle me

A Poem by Molly

Cradle me to sleep in a perfect lullaby
Stall a little longer, I don’t need your reasons why
Channel all your cravings, take it out on me
I know what really matters even when it’s hard to see

Tear my heart to pieces, you know how to put it back
Shatter my foundation and then get me back on track
Cradle me to sleep in your perfect lullaby
But god damn I will miss it when it’s time to say good-bye

So silence all my nonsense in a soothing, warm embrace
Don’t talk about the things that matters most, not to my face…
Just kiss away the tears and please don’t fool me to believe
Never have I felt so good and still so damn naïve…

Cradle me to sleep in a perfect lullaby
Just a little longer, I don’t want your reasons why
I know I’m only good to go until the day arrive
So stall a little longer because at last I feel alive
