Natural selection

Natural selection

A Poem by Molly

You came to me
Talking to me in my head as I slept
And you said I'd be alright
Well now, that was a promise not very well kept

When the day arrived I stood by you
when it would be smarter to walk away
This isn't good, but it's hard to destroy
This would be easier if I didn't enjoy

Stay with with until your end
And see what even time can't mend
You have done too many wrongs
Let's see to whom future belongs
You've done too many bad mistakes
Now let's see how much it takes
To put my view into your head
You pulled me closer and you said:

Honey, you made me this way
Do you regret it?
Didn't you think I would get this good?
Darling, you made me this way
Do you regret it? Do you regret it today?

Everything that I am, all you started
Why don't you take one closer look?
Why do you think you deserve to keep going?
Why do you think you are off the hook?

And I said you:
Eventhough I hate it I still think you're right
When did man decide he'll always win?
Now isn't that a lot of greed there?
Now isn't that a mortal sin..?

This is your downfall, you got what you craved
There's no turning back now and you won't be saved
Because I am coming for you, full attack
We bled for you now you give it back
