STUFFOCATION TEST

STUFFOCATION TEST

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

If one is good, ten are better!

"

STUFFOCATION TEST

Books and letters, pens and paints,
Dead begonia, living saints.
Weavers wool and paperclips,
Singing songs to TV blips.

Plaid pajamas when it's cold,
Write in red to prove I'm bold.
Jacks and crayons, whoop-ti-doo!
I'm ecstatic...aren't you?

Roosters crowing much too soon,
Starlight glowing 'neath the moon.
Closets filled and bulging out,
Santa's coming...please don't pout.

 Suffocating in this "stuff."
 I can never have enough!
One is good but ten are best.
Will I EVER pass this test?!

This is excellent! Great way to honor those hoarding souls who can't part with their stuff. Your language is dynamic & inventive ("whoop-ti-doo" . . . "crowing . . . glowing") giving the overall piece a playful jive. Good job listing details of stuff that's creative & true-to-life. The next to the last line is the most telling, when it comes to us collectors! *wink! wink!*

This is so funny, reminds me of my sisters home where I built on to it. Her husband is an antique collector among many other things. They go to auctions and buy more stuff and get home finding they have to move stuff to put the latest stuff in a spot. Then months later when looking for a special something, it is go through 100s of pieces of stuff to find it and not finding it,,,,off to the store to buy it new....They are nuts,,,,but I love them. I JUST LOVE THIS!

There's something calm about clutter.. there's something comforting about 'stuff' here and there rather than secreted in tidy 'can't finD a thing!'

Such a smiley, bouncing post Miss Sharon, dear.. you've made me want to go tidy a little however.. Now then, where did i put the vacuum cleaner?!

Exit, giggling. x
