SO COLD, SO COOL, SO CLEAR

SO COLD, SO COOL, SO CLEAR

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Describing the pain of watching my only son die.

"
SO COLD, SO COOL, SO CLEAR

A liquid held appeal for you...
So cold, so cool, so clear.
I cry and miss the sight of you...
Each day, each month, each year.

You could have done and been so much...
But now your life has passed.
I tried to teach you well my son...
Who could have THIS ere' guessed?

I stood and watched you slowly breathe...
    Your painful final breath.
This cannot be! I weep and wail...
    I cannot pass this test!

Oh please dear God upon Your throne...
    I now Your love embrace,
And feel the strength You ever give
To those who seek Your face.

((((Sharon))))) my dear one. I remember when your son passed and how horrible the time was. I don't think, though, there is a timetable on grieving. I think when someone we love dies, they take a piece of us with them and that piece is forever calling to us. What happened to you is unthinkable. Your words are so emotional....so honest....so beautiful. I hope his memory is a blessing in many ways. Sending you hugs, lydi***

I am so sad to hear about your only son dying, an experience that seems so tough to take, it's one reason I was never a parent. I can't imagine being as close to another human being as a mother would be toward her child & how could you not be devastated by such a loss? Your poem drags us thru the gut-wrenching idea of having to WATCH, as well. But you are merciful in not making this poem as gut-wrenching as it could've been. You are merciful in fairly quickly turning to your source of strength thru it all becuz we all need a ray of light after imagining THIS that's befallen you! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You're welcome although wish one could magic such feelings away..
A beautifully written piece on such a tragic loss. A pain no one ever wants to feel for their own flesh, taken before we were done with them.
So tenderly written.
