WHEN LIFE BEGINS TO CALL

WHEN LIFE BEGINS TO CALL

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

Painting with words.

"
WHEN LIVES BEGIN TO CALL

If I could paint with words for you,
I'd take a little brush,
And paint with darkly purple hues
To keep them all a-hush.

And any time the words would ask,
I'd dry their tears of pain.
Then let them out for simple tasks,
Like dancing in the rain.

I'd look outside my window sill
And say a simple prayer,
For all the words that spoke of ill....
Or those who did not care.

Words are funny creatures when
Upon the page they fall.
They may be blessed or ever not...
When life begins to call.

In times of negativity, positivity has the added impact of surprising us as well as reminding us that there is hope out there and not to add to the problem even more by getting stuck in this never ending rut of a year and forgetting that a simple smile can make such a huge difference.
Wonderfully captured Sharon, with your smile returned in triplicate 😀😀😀

Yes words are great for taking you to a certain time or place but we must also see all we can in person to truly live

Beautiful work Sharon. Perfect rhyme and meter. Words have to be used wisely. Really nice poem and purple is my favourite colour.

You are welcome Sharon :)
Words, as invisible as they are when spoken, can certainly have a powerful impact.
I like the ones that represent optimism

Your words, dear Sharon, are always welcome. The rhythm and rhyme always astound me. Perfection! Good personification of the words. Words have consequences and people should be careful how they are used. Lydi**

Love the personification of the words here.
yes, some welcomed and some not...
and those words that don't care...they surely can hurt.
