Wounds That Won't Heal

Wounds That Won't Heal

A Poem by Orez

Lord help me, Went down to the river

lookin' for some memories

didn't know what I would find

what I would find

Walked into the water,

couldn't see the sand, beneath my feet

didn't know what I would find

what I would find

I stepped on something in the sand

maybe a board, pain bright like a firework

there I was, all alone

staring at your face

In the water, staring back at me

didn't know what I would find

You snuck up behind me

and eyes crazed, threw me to the ground

Hit my cheek, on a stone, as I fell,

pain sharp as broken sticks

there I was, all alone

pieces you threw back at me

and all you did was stare and smile

didn't know what I could find

About
Starting to take my writing somewhat seriously and figured this would be a good place to start. Most of my stuff is very old and I don't have much recent work. I have a short scene/fantasy motif and m.. more..
