Sadness

Sadness

A Poem by Paul Seaman
"

... bummer, man ...

"

Sadness

I have fought it

       every hour of every day

              for every year.

There is no escape

       There is only acceptance

   from here

         to the horizon

          and beyond.

Sadness is my partner

       my mate

   my only recourse

          in life.

She sustains me

       with pathos

       with truth

       moments of knowing

       & empathy, for all

As i fully accept

       my indigo hue

   i am absorbed

          into the twilight,

never maudlin,

       always hopeful

       ever expectant

              that this

       could change..

Written with knowledge of much sadness and pain still hoping for a way out. So sad my dear! Writing surely is a way of release of sadness to some degree. I love the expression and the word arrangement shown here. Where there is life there is hope. Delight your self in the Lord!
