Fractured Perceptions

Fractured Perceptions

A Poem by Paloma
"

blinded masses

"

Lamenting life perceptions

fallen 'tween the cracks of

efforts seen unsubstantial

by ravenous prophets,

as implausible defenses

are torched mid advisement,

the naked eye blinks

a sacrificial indulgence

gratifying blind masses,

reality but a futilely

deployed disclosure of

indiscriminate surrender,

yielding good men guided

unsighted & fractured

'neath fatal assumptions

Transactional Analysis says, "If you assume you make an a*s out of U and ME!" How true that is. Too often, we have preconceived notions and we do not go into a situation with an open mind. We are blinded by our assumptions. Good one. Lydi**

So true, thanks Lydi.
god, we are so bad about assuming...even the good men die young, romantically speaking...

the prophets warn us and we still jump headlong into love...

maybe we love futility...or writing poems lamenting.

I'm thrilled, thanks so much ! :)
somehow, it reminds me 'bout the tormented pilgrims & paradigms of 'tis universal but so less intellectual world. everything's seemed so fractured around even the boundaries of one's heart as well. nice imagery here.
