I'm Fine.

I'm Fine.

A Poem by PandaPeaceful

I'm Fine
You're lying
I'm Fine
You're not
But I am.
I am Fine.
I'm so Fine
I could laugh
the loudest,
smile the brightest,
pretend talk the
                                      longest
I'm Fine.
I swear it.
Yes, you are
FINE.
About as FINE as
a mother is
without
her child.
About as FINE
as a fire is
without
burning.
About as FINE
as your heart was
when it
             b
                r
                  o
                     k
                        e

Interesting as this piece of diallogue springs into action and we get in between people with differing views. I guess people often say they are fine when they are simply afraid to ask for support.

Precisely. The word "fine" is almost an excuse to not talk, to not show how one truly feels. Thank y.. read more

I really enjoyed the visuals of this piece, it nailed down the emphasis of each line. You treat the page like a canvas and take a wonderfully artistic approach. =)

Thank you for your kind words!
Thank you for vividly illustrating what a ridiculous word "fine" has become in our vernacular. The funny thing is that, when using "fine" to describe oneself & one's life, it's usually a sign of total "blah" & disconnect! But your poem is the exact opposite, as if you're trying to inject some LIFE & VERVE into the overused word! *smile* Fondly, Margie
