What is the worst part about nightmares?

Is it the twinge of pain?

When you suddenly feel a bullet pierce and enter your brain?

Is it the lack of force behind all your powerful hits?

Or no matter how you swing, you always seem to miss?

Is it the lack of knowing?

If what you see is real?

Is it the maze of twists and turns?

That lead to an abyss?

Or is it seeing someone

You truly, deeply miss?

Or maybe the worst part

Isn’t what it seems

Maybe the worst part isn’t in your dreams?

The worse part about nightmares

Is you see them when your awake

You feel them in your bones

You feel them when you ache

Nightmares aren’t just bad dreams

That come when your asleep

They come when you are wide awake

And feeling rather weak
