With his head hung low
Eyes fixated on disaster
Heart heavy with regret

The world has betrayed him
And the nightmares refuse to silence
Every fear too real
A meaningless existence...

Master of Nothing, the title itself lends to intrigue for the one you speak of in this piece has conquered nullity, a sense of unworthiness. A soul treading life because everything attempted has failed him. He has nothing to show for. He has sought yet not gained. I can relate to this very much. Often I feel out of place with life and just merely exist. I like this.
